CURRENT PROJECT

2026-2028

TAOS

AFFORDABLE

HOMEOWNERSHIP

PILOT PROJECT

Starting April, 2026, ECOHAB is building four sustainable, affordable homes in Taos County using passive solar design and adaptive construction. These homes will lower utility costs and offer below-market ownership options to qualifying residents. We aim for this project to be the first of many while inspiring other locations with adapted applications. Click the button below to learn more.

YOU'RE INVITED!

Event hosted by: Taos Housing Partnership and ECOHAB

Thursday, July 30 at 10-11 a.m.

209 Avenida De Veronica, El Prado, NM

Join us to celebrate the launch of the Taos Affordable Homeownership Pilot Project (TAHP), a housing development that will bring 4 single-family, passive-solar, below-market rate homes to the community.  This project is funded in part by Housing New Mexico’s Innovation Fund, and demonstrates collaboration between local entities all committed to working toward housing solutions.

The gathering will bring together many of these partners, including Taos Housing Partnership who will administer the programmatic elements including homebuyer education, project compliance/stewardship and oversight of a soft-second mortgage to assure the long-term affordability of the homes.  Representatives from ECOHAB and Taos Housing Partnership will be available to answer questions.

The highlight of the event will be participating in a Beam Signing ceremony, where we can each leave our mark on this historic development!

Open to the community!
